Sixth LTC Symposium On PESS

The Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS) Academic Group was the host and organiser of the sixth Lau Teng Chuan (LTC) Physical Education and Sports Science Symposium on 13 April 2018. The symposium offers an excellent platform for students and staff to commemorate Dr Lau Teng Chuan, his enduring contributions to sport and his role in shaping the physical education and sports landscape in Singapore since the late 1950s. The event was also a valuable opportunity for both our Sport Science and Management (SSM) and PESS students to showcase their research excellence through poster and oral presentations. About 150 students and staff attended the symposium.

The Head of PESS, Associate Professor Koh Koon Teck provided the opening address, and the Guest of Honour, Professor Michael Chia, spoke about the professional contributions of Dr Lau. Ms Lau Li Choo, the daughter of the late Dr Lau, was also invited to share personal recollections about her father’s work. | Read More |
