Our borders may be closed but you can still experience and learn what we do at the National Institute of Education (NIE) as the NIE Visitors Learning Centre (NIEVLC) is now available online.

Divided into five zones, the virtual NIEVLC allows visitors to experience this stylishly designed gallery as though they are there in person. The journey begins at the foyer, where guests are greeted by a quote from the founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Turn left into the zone “About Us” to relive the history of teacher education in Singapore as told by past and present educators.

In the final zone, visitors get to learn about our professorships and the eminent educators who have shared their knowledge with the Singapore education fraternity. They can also check out some of the global connections that the NIE has.
