NIE International, the consultancy and training arm of NIE, has been appointed to deliver training workshops for up to 500 Indonesian school leaders over the next few years, to support capability development in the Indonesian school system. These school leaders will also have the opportunity to do short-term attachments with Singapore schools, and build closer ties between our education fraternities.

NIEI’s appointment comes on the back of a Human Capital Partnership Arrangement between Singapore’s Ministry of Education and Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, which was signed on 24 January 2022 in conjunction with the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders’ Retreat. The Arrangement will further strengthen educational cooperation between both countries and promote linkages between our school leaders, teachers, and students. It will also create more opportunities for students from both sides to participate in exchanges and internships, to deepen their understanding of each other’s country and prepare them to better engage with the region.
