The NIE Office of Education Research (OER) Professional Development Committee organised a webinar entitled “Designing Future Education and Work” on 25 May 2021.
Mr Poon King Wang, Director at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design, and Assistant Professor Ibrahim H. Yeter from the Natural Sciences and Science Education (NSSE) Academic Group, were the panel speakers for the day. Their presentation topics included human-centric approaches to nurture synthesising minds, and strategies to introduce computational thinking and engineering design process into the curriculum to prepare students for the future.
Dr Munirah Shaik Kadir, Research Scientist, Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, was the moderator of the webinar, which drew 73 participants.
