Six NIE alumni were awarded Nanyang Alumni Awards by NTU during the University’s Annual Homecoming held on 19 October 2019.

These awards are presented to alumni who have attained exemplary achievements in their field of specialisation, or have contributed significantly to the betterment of the University, community or society. The guest of honour at the award ceremony was Mr Chee Hong Tat, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Education.

The following NIE alumni were among the award winners:

• Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award
  Mr Zainal Bin Sapari (Class of 2010, 1999 and 1991)
  Mrs Chua-Lim Yen Ching (Class of 2011, 1993 and 1988)
• Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award
  Mr Ong Yong Cheng Matthew (Class of 2005)
  Ms Dipna Lim Prasad (Class of 2014)
• Nanyang Alumni Service Award
  Mr Sun Jian (Class of 2010)
  Ms Tay Gek Khim (Class of 2007)
