A new research and resource centre housing the treasures of celebrated Malay literary icon, the late Dr Muhammad Ariff Ahmad, will soon be opened at National Institute of Education. To be named the MAS Research and Resource Hub, the facility will be located on the second floor of the National Institute of Education Library and is slated to be opened later this year.
The Asian Languages and Cultures Academic Group has been working closely with National Institute of Education Library to curate the historical artefacts belonging to the late Dr Muhammad Ariff as part of the centre’s displays. These include manuscripts, documents, books, photos and personal belongings that reflect Dr Muhammad Ariff’s deep passion for Malay language, literature and culture.
The centre aims to connect individuals who are interested in history and to encourage more educational activities and fields related to Malay studies and civilisations. Watch this space for details of the opening ceremony.
