Achieving Alignment Between Workplace Learning and Innovation

The Adult Learning Special Interest Group (AL SIG) under the NIE Office of Education Research (OER) conducted a webinar on 24 March 2022, where Professor Stephen Billett, a Professor of Adult and Vocational Education from the Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, was the guest speaker.
Sharing insights from two recent studies on Singaporean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Professor Billett described how activities within the workplace can promote both learning and innovation among workers. He highlighted how alignment between learning and innovation at work could lead to higher personal development and enhanced workplace viability and advancement.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session moderated by AL SIG chairperson and NIE Research Scientist, Dr Betsy Ng.
