Supporting Well-Being in the Workplace and Schools

The Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS) and the NTU NIE Alumni Association (NIE AA) jointly presented a webinar on 16 March 2022 on “Supporting Well-Being in the Workplace and Schools”. Speaking at the event were experts and practitioners with backgrounds in education, psychology, counselling, and learning and development. They were:

  • Professor Rebecca Ang from the Psychological and Child & Human Development (PCHD) Academic Group at NIE, who offered research perspectives on nurturing the psychological well-being of teachers;
  • Mr Willie Soh, Chief Enabling Officer of MindConnexions Pte Ltd, who presented the benefits of including resilience as a core component of well-being, as well as practical strategies for improving well-being in the workplace;
  • Dr Susanna Ho, a Lead Specialist of Physical, Sports & Outdoor Education at MOE, who discussed the importance of leveraging on outdoor education to develop students' social-emotional competencies; and
  • Ms Punitha Gunasegaran, a Counselling Psychologist from Talk Your Heart Out, who offered a wealth of healthy strategies for coping with stress.

The session was attended by ERAS members, NIE alumni, staff and students.
