Report Card / Associate Professor Chen Wenli Bags Distinguished Researcher Award

Associate Professor Chen Wenli from the Learning Sciences and Assessment Academic Group was presented the Distinguished Researcher Award (DRA) from Asia Pacific Society of Computers in Education (APSCE). The award certificate was presented by President of APSCE, Professor Tanja Mitrovic from University of Canterbury, at the opening ceremony of the 28th International Conference of Computers in Education (ICCE) on 25 Nov 2020.

The DRA recognises the APSCE member who has shown distinguished academic accomplishments and contributions in the field of Computers in Education. Three established researchers were nominated for the award this year. After two rounds of rigorous deliberation, discussion and voting by the Executive Committee members of APSCE, Associate Professor Chen Wenli was selected as the only winner of the DRA 2020.

Associate Professor Chen delivered a plenary talk titled “From Cooperation to Collaboration: Designing Computer Supported Collaborative Knowledge Improvement in Classrooms” at ICCE 2020. In her talk, she shared her design-based research projects on leveraging technologies and pedagogies for meaningful collaborative knowledge improvement among students in Singapore classrooms.
