Director NIE Professor Tan Oon Seng met the new Dean of Beijing Normal University (BNU) Professor Zhu Xudong of BNU on 14 Sep 2017 to discuss about collaborative opportunities between NIE and BNU. Areas discussed included student exchanges, possibilities for faculty and research collaborations in teacher education, teacher professional development and the learning sciences. Professor Zhu reiterated that Singapore is a very important partner for BNU and he looks forward to working closely with NIE.
