The inaugural NIE NTU Higher Degree Alumni Speaker Series 2021 was launched by the Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning (GPL).

The first virtual Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony (TIC) for the Class of 2020.

The inaugural webinar entitled “Teacher Education – The Past, The Present and Envisioning the Future” organised with Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS) was held.

The celebration for NIE’s 70th Anniversary concluded with a staff celebration event “A Virtual Touch of Class”.

The inaugural Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Hackathon@NIE for student teachers was launched.

The NTU NIE Alumni Association Master of Arts (Instructional Design and Technology) (MAIDT) Chapter was established.

The Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC) and Master of Science (Science of Learning) was launched as part of the nation’s effort to develop knowledge and expertise in the science-based understanding of learning and education methods.

The Dr Muhammad Ariff Ahmad Research and Resource Hub (MAS RRH@ LIBRIS) was launched by President Halimah Yacob. The Resource Hub features a collection of invaluable writings by MAS on Malay language and culture, and aims to preserve his legacy for future generations of teaching and research professionals.

The 5^th Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE) International Conference on Computational Thinking and STEM Education (CTE-STEM 2021) was hosted virtually.

The Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS) Academic Group, together with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and Singapore Physical Education Association (SPEA), gathered industry partners and professionals from ASEAN countries and beyond for the 7th ASEAN Council of Physical Education and Sport (ACPES) Conference.

A virtual networking session and “Among Us” game night for fellow alumni was held by the NTU NIE Alumni Association.

The MENDAKI Education Symposium 2021 organised by the NIE and Yayasan MENDAKI to discuss on how youths and the workforce can better prepare for the future economy was held.

The Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony (TIC) for the Class of 2021 was celebrated.

An engagement session was held between Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing, and the NIE student teacher representatives.

The Chair of the NTU Board of Trustees, Ms Goh Swee Chen paid her first visit to NIE.

The E.W. Barker Commemorative Book was launched to honour the legacy of Mr E.W. Barker and highlight the collective impact of the E.W. Barker Professorship and Scholarship.

The 10^th Lau Teng Chuan Physical Education & Sports Science Symposium was organised. The annual Symposium has been held since 2013 in remembrance of Dr Lau Teng Chuan and his contributions to the physical education and sports science in Singapore.

The 2^nd NTU NIE Alumni Association Webinar  “Perspectives on the ground: Working with vulnerable and at-risk students” was held.
